Assisting at the Metropolitan Ministries is an incredible way to contribute to our local community. It provides a fantastic opportunity for business teams and families with children over 14 years old. The memories created from such a meaningful activity will certainly be treasured by oneself, family, and friends. The staff there are incredibly professional, amicable, and motivating, whether it's at the kitchen or the thrift store. I've personally arranged numerous events with my company and every time we're there, we're filled with a positive spirit, ready to be a part of this wonderful endeavor. Knowing that you're assisting others at a time when they need it most provides immense satisfaction. Everyone involved, like myself, has realized the great value in these experiences.
A sincere thank you to each participant engaged in this noble cause and doing their part for our community. Volunteers may not always have abundant free time but they indeed do possess bountiful hearts. Your contributions as volunteers substantially make an impact on the world, and for that, our gratitude is ever-present. By observing your actions, the true meaning of volunteering comes to life.

My experience with the holiday donation was amazing and incredibly helpful. There were many moving parts involved, such as parking, checking in, the kids' area, the waiting area, gathering the donations, and even transporting the donations to the car. All of the volunteers worked together wonderfully. The donations were extremely beneficial to my family, and we are very grateful for the support and this experience.

Very difficult to get help. I tried getting housing, nobody can tell me anything at all. I have no idea what my chances are. I tried doing therapy. After a few online sessions, I was dumped by a therapist as I didn't meet their goals. Ok, that's a bit hurtful when someone was through domestic abuse and is trying hard to get on their feet. I don't need to be graded on my progress. Their trauma therapist made me feel I'll finally get help but stopped responding. It really brought me down as I didn't find another therapist and I'm struggling. I gave 2 stars for the food pantry though! Those people rock. Everyone else though is kind of useless.

Not sure what the negative reviews are from the homeless because I am currently homeless. I’ve walked in, I greeted everyone I saw and they asked “how can we helps immediately. I told them my situation, the time was about 1:45 pm. I told her I was a little hungry just needed a orange, instead she comes out with a tray that had 2 cheeseburgers with fresh crisp lettuce, all the condiments, gave me 2 hard boiled eggs and some fruit and snacks plus a salad.I understand being homeless sucks…….but you have to be polite and be human. Treat others with even more respect if you are seeking help from them don’t just take. You have to help yourself, there is only so much others can provide or do for you. Ohh, and guess what? They don’t even need to help you out. They are doing it because they care and want to. Be positive and always show respect. Again, I’m homeless and I’m telling a message to the other homeless, you need to work on positive changes even if it means one baby step after the other……you will learn how to walk again, or just be nasty to others and stay negative and be mad at people for trying to help you….but you couldn’t even help yourself. This place so far earns 5 stars right off the bat. They even let me come inside, get water, eat at a table, charge my phone and told me they have jobs I can apply for. Nina was the one at the desk as soon as I walked in and helped me big time. Thank you!!!! P.S - I am not homeless anymore and I am now doing very well. Much blessings and thanks

I was added to a wait-list for housing in the Summer. I was NOT informed of "checking in" every 90 days. After a week of phone calls I finally received a response only to discover that I had been removed from the wait list. Punished for my ignorance. Furthermore they neither contacted me by phone, text, or email before removing me.They did suggest I contact FEMA and commit what I can only assume is fraud. Despite having a full time job I can't even find a room to rent and now I'm at risk of falling victim to the elements. You people should be ashamed of yourselves. Exactly how much blood is on your hands !?!

This is a great place. They have a wonderful thrift shop with all kinds of stuff in it, but mainly Metropolitan Ministries do so much good work that I'm happy to purchase stuff from there's thrift shop just to help support them. That guy just donated money for the reserve nice they do a lot for the homeless and other people in Tampa.

The group has proven to be an excellent source of assistance for families in need, not just supplying necessities such as food and clothing, but also creating a strong sense of community and compassion. It is widely considered as one of the top organizations due to its consistent commitment to assisting those facing hardships.

I wish they would make it clearer which donations they actually want. I have about six bags of nice women’s clothing that I’d left out for them to pick up and they never explained why they weren’t picked up, instead of letting them sit out all day.
