I've been attending this fellowship since the 1990s and as a
member since 2011. I feel this is a great place for me as a humanist who wants to touch my spiritual side and be part of a community of good people whose idea of religion squares closely with mine. The UU Principles say so much of what I believe and the Sunday services and music are high quality -- even when the minister is off and members of the congregation do the presenting. We also now have a beautiful new building that houses the community with comfort and good aesthetics.

After an intentional search for a spiritual community, I chose BVUUF in October 2023. My experience has exceeded my expectations. BVUUF takes the word "Fellowship" in its name genuinely and thoroughly. I've made new friends, found new intellectual stimulation, and discovered wonderful people with shared interests. My original intent upon joining and making my financial pledge, was to give it a year, then consider whether to increase my giving. The experience has been so good that I accelerated that timetable and increased my pledge by 20 percent after only six months' membership.

My family really likes this community. We’ve been attending for 22 years. I appreciate the progressive actions and the affirming principles. Im pleased it keeps growing. Always eager to share space with diverse thinkers and exploring relationships in the broader community. Every Sunday is so different it behoves visitors to come back more than once.?

When I first attended in the autumn of 2015, people were warm and welcoming, despite my handicap. On the wall, I saw the words, "Bringing love and reason to life to create a just and compassionate world." They mean it, and I became a member just a few months later. Nine years on, we still mean it and take action for social justice in so many ways. UUism means we each take a responsible journey in our spiritual exploration, respecting others and all living beings. Sign me up!

Warm welcoming community. Active in many social justice areas, including LGBTQIA2S+ issues. A place for deep spiritual connections. They have been there for my family through many tough times and to laugh and celebrate our joys together as well.

BVUUF is really a "come as you are" congregation. It's a warm, welcoming community that is honest and intentional about its inclusion of LGBTQI+ and BIPOC. A really fun, growing program for kids up through high school. Plus recognition of specific interests and needs of elders. I love how they always say "No matter how long you've been away or how soon you will return, you are welcome here," and "we encourage visitors to come a few times and really get to know us."

I found this fellowship a decade ago, when looking for a place to practice Buddhist meditation that would also include my then 3 young kids. A loving, accepting, and open minded congregation. Sunday morning feels like traditional church in many ways (we sing hymns, there's a "sermon"/reflection), but Sunday mornings bring many different religious/spiritual practices including (but not limited to) Buddhist meditation and nature-based practices. So glad I found a way to bring spiritual community into my life and my family's life without having to swallow a creed I didn't believe.
