CAREmasters provided me with assistance following a ski accident I had in February, which left me with a fractured fibula. I had elected to have the surgery done in Sarasota, as I knew there would be a fairly long recovery period and I wanted to be back home with my yellow lab. I had contacted CAREmasters before flying back from Seattle and arranged for them to assist me during my period of incapacity. They helped me enormously, always available to assist at home and also when I needed transport. Their staff were always very pleasant and I am sure this helped me to keep a positive attitude and speed-up my recovery. I would recommend CAREmasters to anyone requiring all types of home care.

Sent my husband to a facility where there was no PPE available to CNAs working with 8 patients with COVID. Not only that, they tried to give him 20 rooms to himself, that’s FOURTY patients on 1 CNA. He called someone from CareMasters because he was treated super unfairly and to many hazards in place to even feel safe working. She told him he can leave and put the correct time on his timesheet he told a nurse he is leaving she said OK and he left. Well, this morning the director called to tel him he abandoned his job because the other worker said he was complaining about the facility and the nursing home said he didn’t tell anyone he told them he was “changing his lunch pal” which doesn’t make sense if I’m uncomfortable working at the facility. This director didn’t care that he worked the day before 20 patients and the other CNA was sleep 11pm-5am, that the next day they tried to give him 40 patients with 8 having COVID with no PPE, that there’s no clean linens for the patients during a overnight shift, wash cloths to wipe patients were unavailable multiple times. They do not protect, appreciate, value or stand by their employees. If they did they would not be sending their staff to these poorly ran locations then blame them and accuse them of abandoning their job for not wanting to work in these conditions. Appreciate the CNAs working their butts off to take care of the elderly who are over worked while there’s CNAs who sleep their entire shift or let the patients get soiled. When he said that is was super unfair the director said okay have a good day and hung up after terminating him. ITS OKAY TO REFUSE TO WORK IN WORK PLACES WHO PUT YOUR LIFE AND YOUR FAMILIES LIVES IN JEOPARDY! ITS OKAY TO REFUSE TO WORK SOMEWHERE WHERE YOU CANT OFFER EVERY PATIENT THE SAME CARE. UNDER STAFFED OVER WORKED AND STILL NOT STANDING BY YOUR EMPLOYEES! Shame on you!!!! The U.S. is down of CNAs as it is appreciate those who go to work and do their jobs correctly but also have a right to refuse to work somewhere with good reasons.
