We enjoyed our stay and the staff was kind and helpful, although we were misled with the drink tokens; when they were given to us at check in, the host/bartender explained the first 2 were welcome tokens for certain drinks and the other 2 were for our VIP status and could get us pretty much any cocktail. Since we weren’t staying long, we used them within the hour, at which point she informed us the VIP tokens were only for one type of cocktail. With the welcome drink, my partner chose a beer on tap which we found contained mold halfway through. With mine, I chose wine which had a lip print on the glass that was not my own. At checkout the next day, we were behind another guest checking in and the host at that time explained the drink tokens correctly. Not sure about the disconnect/miscommunication but it definitely would have been much less disappointing had the glassware been more hygienic.

Loved the comfy bed, high quality TV, nice, spacious bathroom with working amenities in good condition (shower, toilet, sink, hair dryer, steamer, towels, soap, shampoo/conditioner). Another small complaint was the bathroom door - it didn’t quite close and exposed a sliver through which you could clearly see the person using the toilet and nothing else (slightly visible in the second pic; I only took pics of the room). It didn’t necessarily bother us, but could be inconvenient to others.

Also, valet was $55. Great service and we did see the price ahead of time. However, they appeared to use the garage behind the hotel which boasted a sign of $15 (per day, we assume). Worth a little investigation.

The hotel was clean and the location was good. The rooms also very nice. Perhaps we should have done more research, but my wife and I stayed here the night before the Houston Marathon/Half Marathon since the location is only a few blocks from the starting line.

The problem is that this location also seems to serve as a night club. As a result, we were subjected to pounding dance music until 2am. The room literally shook. When we checked in, we were warned that since we were downtown, it could get loud, but we did not realize the noise was apparently coming from the hotel itself. The room had a white noise machine which was useless. My wife and I only got a few hours of sleep.

Don't get me wrong, the service was great and the rooms were nice and clean.

Also, you should be aware that overnight parking costs $55 which is very excessive for downtown Houston.

I would say that if you are into late night club scene, this would be a great hotel. For us, it did not work out that well.

We stayed here, and not typically thinking downtown has a lot of action, but wow we were impressed. It is located well downtown. The rooms are sleek and small. no fridge or microwave, coffee, etc in the rooms.. the lobby is awesome and the bar is cool and great vibes. The staff was friendly and very helpful and down to earth. It is affordable and would recommend to anyone not with kids!

We read the reviews good and bad but decided to check it out for ourselves. Amazing customer support from the very beginning. Rooms are adorable and very chic. Great proximity to great venues, short walk to Jones Hall where we attended a concert. Lots of great food spots. Yes, there was lively music and bright lights, but we totally expected it and it was welcomed. Expect the music to last until 2am. Will definitely stay again😃

neat urban vibe as soon as you walk in, the staff were very nice and helpful (tokens for bar drinks work for me), the vibe continues from check-in to the elevator with an astronaut staking a Texas flag in one and a cowboy roper riding an oil rig in the other, once you exit the elevator, there is a self service locker for extra towels, pillows, some toiletries, of which I forgot my toothbrush, so it was nice I didn't have to find a nearby store to purchase one (saved me some time), once in the room it was reasonable in size and the bathroom was clean ... however, our room had no desk and the bedside table was a drop down table connected to the wall, kinda close, kinda not, just enough to be out of reach when your charging your phone next to your bed, I need a desk because I do work (email and such, 2 star for me) when I travel ... the noise factor can be challenging but they had ear plugs in the locker outside the elevator too, ha ha, made me think that they do read these reviews with regards to the noise (see other noisy reviews), all in all, I would only stay here again if I had too since my room was next to the elevator and you could here it run all during the night, so if you can handle the noise and do not need a quiet place to work, then this is your vibe ... *shout out to Day 6 Coffee Company around the corner, a fabulous morning breakfast place, highly recommend the Texas Latte & breakfast tacos for those who don't know what those are, yes, it's a TX thing ...

I really wanted to love this place. I remember when they were building it as I stay in Houston often and was anticipating the open. We checked in late on Sunday night around 10. The staff was nice. We got our room keys and went upstairs to the tiniest studio room ever, no problem it was just one night for 2 ppl. The problem- the restaurant directly below our room was blasting very loud music which would continue until whatever time they closed that evening. The room did not offer any amenities. Not even an iron. We were told we would have to go to the hallway to get it on a first come first service basis. Ghetto. The room was so tiny I could hear the person in the room next to us using the bathroom. Very unappealing. Our bathroom floor was dirty. The shower looked like the onset of mold and the entire floor in the room looked like it was never mopped. We checked out within 15 minutes and went to our usual marriot. Super dissatisfied.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The hotel & room were very very clean and had a pleasant smell (hard to find in party cities like Houston). The concierge at check in, Brian, was extremely friendly (surprising for Houston 😉) and even more helpful! They have cool stash lockers with complimentary necessities. We got free drink tokens each at check in. All around, great experience.

There were a lot of reviews saying it was loud, one saying it sounds like the club is in your room. That’s a little dramatic. It’s loud but it’s no different than sleeping with the TV on low volume. We still slept great, the sound was noticeable but not bothersome. You’re staying in a party city… be smart, it’s going to be loud everywhere. We got a city view room (got a view of the lines to the clubs) and enjoyed people watching because we’re not party people ourselves.

I think this is a great venue for a night owl. There is a night club next door and you could hear the music on the 12th floor, and that is why the low review. The noise in the corridor also seemed a bit excessive with doors closing a bit too hard. But... It is a great affordable location in the theater district. Husband said he had a free cocktail when checking in and the bar was adorable. However, for me sleeping is the main purpose of a hotel room and when I don't sleep well it impacts the whole stay.
