I visited this sanctuary 2 weeks ago.
I met the nicest and devoted people ever.
This place does take care of over 150 dogs of all kinds. Animals are well treated there but need to be adopted by good families to vacate the space due to new daily arrivals of abandoned or cruelly mistreated dogs by awful people. I truly recommend anybody who wants to love and take care of an animal, to drop by there and adopt a dog. Junior gave food, accessories, worm medecine, vaccine and plus, for free. I didn't expect to find a place like this in Miami. But they need HELP.
Donations are welcome and I believe well deserved.
Junior thank you for all the things you do.
Best of luck to all of you... A real therapy for me.

Honest Review of Redlands Dog Sanctuary & Its Leadership

I recently visited Redlands Dog Sanctuary to utilize their free spay and neuter services, expecting a professional and community-focused experience. Instead, I was met with shocking hostility from none other than the owner himself, Newton Siquira Jr.

From the moment I arrived, he was exceptionally rude and aggressive, speaking in a completely unprofessional manner. Despite not engaging with his hostility, I was disrespected without cause. Hoping it was an isolated incident, I returned the next day, only to experience the same appalling behavior. This is not how anyone affiliated with Miami-Dade County Animal Services should be treating members of the community—especially those seeking to do the responsible thing by caring for their pets. If the county is aware that an organization representing them is being run with this level of disrespect and unprofessionalism, it raises serious concerns.

Not only did I leave without receiving any services, but the experience left me wondering how such behavior is allowed in a facility that claims to serve the public. If professionalism, compassion, and ethical treatment matter to you, I strongly recommend seeking services elsewhere. I sincerely hope Miami-Dade County takes notice of the way this operation is being run and reevaluates their association with it.
Sincerely,
A passionate Dog Mom.

This is an amazing rescue/ sanctuary located in the Redlands,Miami) Florida, that has been working hard on the community in order to help all the animals abandoned by their owners in the middle of nowhere. And Junior the founder of the sanctuary has been working tirelessly to make a difference for thousands of homeless animals. I’m proud of him and his dedication for these animals.

Doing incredible work for dogs and people in the Redlands. A true “No Kill” shelter, RDS works with some of the most challenging medical and behavioral cases to rehabilitate dogs and find them homes. Junior, who runs RDS, is one of a kind. His commitment to and connection with the dogs in his care is extraordinary. RDS has helped thousands of dogs find loving, appropriate homes - cannot say enough about this fantastic organization. Thank you to the entire RDS staff for all you do.

They never answer the phone and they ignore your messages. My family and I been trying to reach out to them and didn’t get no help. If you are in a emergency don’t rely on them. I’m very disappointed.

Looking for a forever pet, this is the place were you can foster or adopt a dog. Jr. is amazing and helped us find our forever dog Zeke a 2-1/2 yr old Greyhound mix. He joined us a month ago and he is full energy and has so much love to give. We are truly blessed to have been paired up with him.

Thank you Jr. and team for all you do to save these dog's lives.
