Beware!!! Rented a small box truck for the day. The gas was at 3/4 full (strange but ok), and they said to bring it back the same.
Took a picture leaving and took a picture when I brought it back. Gas was the same but got charged $14 for gas.
The receipt email said to contact them for any question and when I did, nobody replied.
I feel like I got scammed.

0 Stars, actually! There is definitely something wrong with the way this Uhaul Storage is managed. It is, by far the most horrible experience I've had with Uhaul or any storage. After moving all day and arriving in Santa Rosa at the storage unit I reserved, the person tells me that there was no storage availabe and that I had to get a Ubox! They said there was a leak in the storage I reserved. But I did not get any notice about it so I can find another storage. Today, I asked to access my Ubox for some important belongings and they told me I didn't have a Ubox there under my phone number. Then I look on the app and my box has been moved to Concord which is about almost 2 hours away from me. On top of that, I can't drive due to an illness. I DID NOT RECEIVE A NOTICE THAT MY PROPERTY WAS TO BE MOVED otherwise I would have removed all my things from that storage. They can't just move my property without my consent. I do have fragile things in there and shouldn't have been moved that far away!! I am beyond angry about how this place runs the business. This place should be shut down or hire a new team of workers. It's like they put all the retarted workers in one lot!! On top of that, the manager never calls back or too busy to talk to you to solve the problem.

Charge me $47 in fuel costs. Prior to leaving the yard I proved that the location of the fuel gauge reading in the truck was lower than what the paper work I received indicated. I fueled the truck accordingly before returning the truck. The person checking the truck in asked if I wanted to go and fuel the truck or I would be charged $47.00. I said that I had fueled it and was still charged $47 dollars. I called twice and was told that Jeff was looking into the problem. Jeff was the first person I spoke with before leaving the yard with the truck. Its been 6 days and was just given a credit for only $40.87..

Do not reserve equipment from this location! We had a big move and reserved a trailer a few days before, when we showed up for our reservation they didn’t have our equipment. They couldn’t really do anything to help us since their manager wasn’t there and then they refused to honor the $50 reservation guarantee that THEY signed when we set up the reservation. I made a formal complaint that was supposed to be resolved in 72 hrs but I never heard from them again.

In the end we ended up spending an extra $100 dollars to drive to the nearest U-Haul place that had the equipment we needed (over an hour away) and missed other personal appointments we had set for the day. It was honestly a disaster. The worst part is the employees were aware that their reservation system is broken and they weren’t doing anything to fix it. I can’t imagine how many other people had to deal with this same thing.

Even though I picked up at 7 pm, the man at the counter asked me to bring the truck back by 1 am. 6 hours later. I paid for 24 hours. Though I was finished with the truck at 11 pm, it is unsafe in that area of Santa Rosa for a single person, let alone a woman, to bring a truck back to that location. I resent the presumption of rrquesting to put me in an unsafe situation. The truck was so filthy that they had hosed it off but it was soaking wet about 2 feet inside the truck bed. When I grabbed the nylon webbing handle to pull down and reclose the roll up door it had about an inch and a half thick caked soggy mud on it and squished through my fingers. I was unable to grab or use that handle for the duration of the rental due to the entire handle being covered in a thick layer of mud. Then I placed my moving blankets inside the back of the truck and they soaked up the dark black liquid from the rear of the back platform and hauling area. Probably road exhaust type black that isn't being cleaned with soap and scrubbed ever, just sprayed until wet with a hose. The cab of the truck was also filthy as was the windshield. The photos of the condition of the truck at check out are from pre-damage and wear and tear. It looks like they were taken when the truck was brand new. It has 140k miles on it. The check out app would not accept my current photos of the truck. I have them on saved on my if needed

NOT RECOMMEND. Use any other rental company. Me and my wife had two tires blow out on the auto trailer and the uhaul truck itself broke down. 3 separate instances all with in our one way trip. Granted we did use uhaul roadside assistance, What was supposed to be a 13 hour drive turned into just shy of a 3 day trip because of 3-5 hours we waited each time. We paid $1450 for our 3 day uhaul excursion and at the end of all that we were refunded $350. It’s a corrupt system where the same person renting faulty equipment, decides if you get compensated when that equipment fails.

Worse service ever. Not enough help. Counter girl on phone forever, line buildup. No customer service here or they dont know how to be better. Spends way too long with each transaction, doesn't move fast at all here !! Line in front if me and line behind me. There is actually five people in front of me and four behind me ,total if 10 people waiting !!

Trailer rental insurance coverage was not optional, as the interface on the website, and in the store did not allow the option to be deselected. In addition, it went up from $16 to $20 for no apparent reason.
SB-478 violation. Has been reported to Cal DOJ
