Direct energy is the worst company I have ever experienced!!! Their customer service includes long wait times, rude reps, people who are hard to understand and it is hard for them to understand what you may be talking about. If you want someone higher than a manager, forget that they will never let you talk to one. I had a rep come to my door and list a certain price but it was a lie. They charged me a higher price and never fixed it. I decided to go to a different energy company. Direct energy is now making me pay a full cancellation fee even though I was lied to about the price. This company does not care about its customers. You will be charged so much money that it is ridiculous.

Reply: Yeah, you say that now. During the last three conversations I had with you over the phone, You made it abundantly clear that there will be no repercussions when your employees lie to my face about pricing. and when I had the audacity to ask you to honor the price that I was told in person, your people told me that it is the way it is and I will have to just deal with it.

I love direct energy. They are one of the few companies out there that have actual people who provide amazing customer service. My issue is with ONCOR they charge an outrageous amount to provide service its the same or more than my energy consumption. They also have competitive rates, and other companies don't tell you your total price with fees. That is why you probably think they are cheaper. This company has never lied to me when I ask what my rate will be with fees.

very happy with service of direct energy. always had the best prices. no problems getting ahold of anyone when i need to move etc. AND there was no cancellation fee when i had to end my contract because of my situation. THANKS MIGUEL!!!

Never let Direct Energy be your electricity providers. They charged me double the average Kwh I have seen from other companies, and I was paying upwards of $800 a month for power! Their website is horrible, the app doesn't work, and our power went out multiple times in the time we had them (which was only 2 months!!!). When I canceled for a different company that was MORE THAN HALF THE COST, I received a "Final Notice" in the mail saying that they would take further action if we didn't pay our last bill. The issue with this, is we didn't have any other notice about said bill! No emails, mail, calls, NOTHING. I checked our account on their website multiple times, and each time it said we owed nothing. Even after I got this "final notice", our account still said $0.00. I had to call customer service to even pay the bill, and they had no explanation as to why I didn't receive any other notices. Terrible company. Would rate 0 stars if I could. Basically a giant scam.

Direct Energy service is great until they send incorrect service messages, they turn off your power within 1 day of getting the notification that you need to add money. Very inconsiderate especially have a major weather crisis. It doesn't help when the online payment system is down so you can't add money to your account for 3 days. There's no grace period whatsoever for anything and there needs to be something implemented for such.

Scam!! Please don’t get plan from them i regretted everyday signing up with them. Disgustingly high rate, bad customer service and awful plans. Im so glad we are moving and don’t have to deal with it.our bill every month was between 600-700 with free nights (can’t believe i fall for this scam). PLEASE RUN THE OTHER WAY!!! Don’t sign up with this company.

The worst !!!! The representatives are no help at all!!! I tried getting service here and they immediately took my money and said that it was all they needed plus identification and they said it was all good to go. Tell me why they call me and said they couldn't do it and i would have to wait for tomorrow. I was calling for 2 weeks( which means 2 weeks with no light) and they where just messing with me at this moment. Oh and yes I still haven't recieved my money!!!! Never get this company they are literally just clowning with you!!!

Luis was very helpful and assisted me promptly. I have been with Direct Energy for over 5 years and have had a great experience with them every time I’ve needed help. I have no complaints about the price of my bills either!
